Journal of Performance Art as a Personal Ritual.

These 12 collages are the experiences of 12 weeks of my life in 1997. They were developed from the pages of my personal journal. The finished collages were meant to be sketches for performances, and even though not all the actions took place, the collages were selected by an international jury composed of (at the time): Laura Hoptman, Curator of Painting and Drawing at MoMA, NYC; Michel V. Cheff, director of the Winnipeg Art Gallery: Silvia Navarrete, art critic; Agustín Arteaga, director of Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, CDMX to be part of The National Biennale of Two-dimensional Visual Arts in Mexico City, in 1998.

Acrylic paint, graphite, resins, silver and gold leaf, photographs, and found objects on hand-made/dyed paper. All 41 x 30 cm.

After the exhibition Paisaje Con Manzana I continued to make drawings of figures set against the same landscape of gouache and acrylic paint, culminating with the addition of my self-portrait during my artist residence at the Lunenburg School of the Arts in 2014:
